About Us
A small group with a simple mission
إِنَّمَا الْأَعْمَالُ بِالنِّيَّاتِ
“Actions are judged only by their intentions.”
Sahih Bukhari 1
Our Story
Fee Sabeelillah began as a group of friends in Udupi who wanted to do more for the people around them. We are not a registered charity — we are simply Muslims who believe in the power of collective sadaqa and the blessings that come from serving Allah's creation.
What started as small Ramadan food distributions has grown into a regular presence — ration kits, zakat collection and distribution, and reaching families across Udupi and beyond.
We operate with full transparency. Every rupee is accounted for. Our donors are anonymous. Our reward, we hope, is with Allah alone.
Our Guiding Principles
الزَّكَاة
Zakat
We collect and distribute zakat to the absolutely poor, following Sharia guidelines on eligible recipients.
خُذْ مِنْ أَمْوَالِهِمْ صَدَقَةً تُطَهِّرُهُمْ وَتُزَكِّيهِم بِهَا
“Take from their wealth a charity by which you purify them and cause them increase.”
Surah at-Tawbah 9:103
الصَّدَقَة
Sadaqa Jariya
Voluntary charity given freely for the sake of Allah alone — with no expectation of recognition or reward from creation.
مَا نَقَصَتْ صَدَقَةٌ مِن مَالٍ، وَمَا زَادَ اللَّهُ عَبْدًا بِعَفْوٍ إِلَّا عِزًّا
“Charity does not decrease wealth, and Allah only increases a servant's honour through forgiveness.”
Sahih Muslim 2588
الْخِدْمَة
Khidmat
Service to creation as an act of worship. We believe serving people is one of the highest ways of serving Allah.
خَيْرُ النَّاسِ أَنْفَعُهُمْ لِلنَّاسِ
“The best of people are those most beneficial to people.”
Al-Mu'jam al-Awsat 5787
